Jonah Harrison - 11 Months Big

Time is flying...nostalgia is setting in. I wish they could stay little longer...

Photobucket

He is growing and learning so much these days, like saying "ball" or was it "Paul" maybe "mall?" He is mimicking sounds and loves to make raspberries and crack up with his brothers...because, well it's funny!

Photobucket

he is teething this week, two more on the top are about to pop through. That makes for a bit of a cranky and clingy baby, but that is fine with me I like hanging out with him.

Photobucket

he is not too sure about walking, he will stand on his own as long as he doesn't realize he is not holding onto anything

Photobucket

Vegetables are not his favorite, he is a fruit baby and if he knows there is fruit coming forget trying to give him any more of his mixed veggies

Photobucket

so.very.sweet

Photobucket

Loves everyone, he has not met a stranger yet. If you spend time playing with him on the floor like Grandpa did all last week he is like butter in your hand dishing out smiles hugs and kisses

Photobucket

We are so blessed to have Jonah as our third baby he has brightened up or life more than I ever thought someone could and we're just getting started. They say they are only babies once and it is so true. Jonah has had an amazing start and is so lucky to have two amazing big brothers to help him along the way. We love watching him grow and be apart of our family.

Jonah Harrison - 9 Months Big

I'm late I know, it's been a long week...Daddy is out of town and I realized I could never make it as a single Mom. I really don't know how they do it, they definately deserve a ton of my respect.

Little man is now 9 months, here is what that means exactly...

  1. he likes to eat anything...and everything. Especially dirt. aaaccckk
  2. I bought him bubbles and he got to see them for the first time...I don't know why I waited so long, he loved them
Photobucket

3. He can clap, wave and throw up his arms when we tell him how big he is...

4. He is always smiling, laughing and in a happy mood
Photobucket

5. Check out those teeth! All four of them!
6. Watching his big brothers is his favorite past time. He was watching them run through the sprinkler the other day and he got a little wet...check out that face!
Photobucket

7. Jonah loves his toys...just like his brothers.
Photobucket

8. He sleeps all night...9pm to 6am here in his bed...We have no complaints!
Photobucket

9. Naps are definately a must, he comes to me when he is ready and I lay him down...then he sleeps. I have no idea how this is working out so well
Photobucket

10. He started giving kisses the other night...once he figured it out he gave me like 10 in a row...
Photobucket

11. 17.6 lbs, tall and a big head...skinny, tall and smart...and SUCH a good little baby.

Jonah Harrison - 8 Months Big

This is going by entirely too fast for me...why can't they slow "growing up" down??

Photobucket
Some of my favorite (and not so favorite) things about little Jonah at 8 months...

  • the back of his head, see his hair and that little duck tail? I could kiss it like 100 times a day.
  • he could make rasberries all day long
  • Has 3 teeth, grew them in like 2 weeks it seems...we're finally back to sleeping through the night
  • used those new chompers this week to try eating a bug...aaaccckkkkk!!! (he spit it out thankfully)
  • besides bugs and anything he can put in his mouth he does like eating
  • he loves it when anyone puts on glasses or sunglasses, he just cracks up
  • dances when music comes on
  • he will grab a blanket and lay his head down, snuggle up and say.."aaahhhhhhhhhh"
  • crawls everywhere and is cruzing...speaking of cruzing...

Photobucket

we traded in his bouncer seat and swing for a new car...he thinks he is pretty cool stuf in his new car...if you don't push it fast enough he will try to make it go on his own.

Photobucket

this is his girlfriend, she is a Dr....he has high standards :)

for Jonahs 8th month birthday we headed over to Meme's (my Mom's) neighborhood for a little trip to the park to feed the ducks and a little picnic breakfast.

Photobucket

Photobucket
he wasn't too sure about those hungry birds, he kept checking to see where I was

Photobucket

among the ducks and turtles was this little dude...
Photobucket

we played a little peak-a-boo...

Photobucket

he loves the park now, especially the swings, he is such a big boy...I'm pretty sure he believes he is just as big as his brothers

Photobucket

he has amazing brothers,

Jonah Harrison - 7 Months

Photobucket

  • ok everyone say it with me, "He is SUCH a GOOD baby!"...yep still a true statement
  • Crawling, crawling, crawling
  • loves to put his brothers toys in his mouth...sorry I & L, your worse nightmare came true
  • raspberries are now a household noise and a way to communicate that brings on a ton of laughs
  • this photo is how he usually looks, laughing all the time.
  • took his first airplane ride this past weekend, flew like a champ.
  • finally enjoys food, especially yogurt
  • discovered the wheels on a car today, he was playing with one of the twins toy cars and just sat there spinning the wheel and looking at it very intently...great another one of those kids!
  • sleeps great, plays great, eats great
  • This is going by WAY too fast for me. I wish parenting came with pause buttons, and "instant replay" and sometimes even a volume button...but it doesn't. Every moment is fleeting however we're enjoying every minute of it!

Jonah Harrison - 6 months big

This is long over due but I managed to find a little time to post about Jonah 1/2 a year old....

Photobucket
Finally sitting up on his own! He had been sitting up when we would prop him up but he is now sitting himself up. I love going into his room after his nap and finding his little head poking up over the crib, I can't see his mouth but I can tell he is smiling...then the squeel follows.

Photobucket
Super hugable, super sweet, such a good baby. Haven't heard that before have you?

Photobucket
Loves eating solids finally, some of his favorites are mashed up avacado's, banannas, carrots and baby yogurt. I am trying to make all his baby food I think we will start on more green food next week.

Photobucket
Definately enjoys riding on Daddy's shoulders, he cracks up while smacking the top of Harry's head. Still thinks his brothers are pretty cool too, he is so funny the way he laughs at them. Has not got into too much trouble eating the boy's toys, which was a big concern for Logan.

He has the crawling thing almost down, he rocks back and fourth on all fours and is reaching out with one hand but just has not put lets and arms into motion...just yet.

Sleeping through the night still but sleeps with me for an hour or two in the morning since he wakes up to eat around 6, it is still nice to have him to snuggle with.

Jonah Harrison - 5 Months Big

Photobucket

  • Wow, five months! This one snuck up on me, if I had the capability to slow down time I would
  • Broken record here, he is SUCH a good baby, sweet boy, and happy little person.
  • He produces about a bucket of drool everyday.
  • Toys are a must now, he loves to look at them, touch them, chew them, devour them.
  • Talking up a storm now, "Maaaaaaaa" and just today he is saying "Daaaaa!!!" he always sounds like he is saying "Hi" too but I'm sure it is just one of his little noises. He puts them all together for a pretty amusing little story. If you’re able to listen, he is willing to tell.
  • His toes have taken up a residence in his mouth lately; his feet are handy to have when there are no toys around.
  • He has rolling over down and can almost make it across the room, his little tookus is making its way up and he is tucking under his knees, we think crawling is right around the corner.
  • He can sit as long as he is propped but still is a weeble wobble.
  • Has absolutely NO interest in solid food. He is just not ready yet I guess.
  • Oh and we decided to go a little more "formal" for this months pictures. See Harry owning your own tux does come in handy!

Jonah Harrison - 4 months big

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Here is what we know about Jonah at 4 months...

  • 14lbs 7 oz, very healthy boy
  • Yes you all know that I will say he is the best baby...such a sweet little person (I hope this never changes!) But he is such a sweet little boy
  • he loves to talk and he loves to sing...if you sing to him, he will sing right back! Don't believe me? Call me and I will prove it!
  • starting to insert anything he gets his hands on into his mouth...including his hands, toes and my hair (aaacckk!)
  • he loves his toys, talks to them and the owl in the tree on his wall (I will post a picture of this soon)
  • finally got the rolling over thing down, if he is awake he is rolling, no more leaving him on the bed alone!
  • it is very entertaining for him to watch is big brothers, they are crazy so it is fun for anyone to watch them (and they are good big brothers too, helping when they are asked but still prefer Legos over Jonah)
  • his laugh is so fun, he cracks up when I play with his feet.
  • and last but not least starting last week we put him in his crib at night (he had been sleeping with me) and slept 6 hours straight...let me say that again...SIX HOURS STRAIGHT during the night! WOO HOO!!!! the really cool thing is that he has done this every night for the past 4 nights! Very Cool!
  • OH! Almost forgot, he asked to get his ears pierced...we told him no so he went out and got a tattoo instead :)

Jonah Harrison 3 Months Big

Three months already! It is so amazing how fast time flies when raising kids. Here is what we know about Jonah at three months....
  • A whopping 13lbs!
  • He is still such a GOOD baby, he hardly ever complains, no complaints from Mom either
  • Loves to be held, especially by Daddy...we think he likes the altitude up there
  • Started grabbing things and putting them in his mouth last week, he has a toy zebra that is his favorite
  • Still smiles and talks to anyone willing to listen
  • Sleeps like a baby, on and off again, but we have the nights pretty much worked out where everyone is happy. He snuggles up with me since I am nursing him and politely "taps" me instead of crying to eat in the middle of the night...such a nice baby.
  • His hair on the top has fallen out but is quickly growing back, hopefully it stays red.
  • Hasn't figured out how to get his thumb actually in his mouth but loves to suck on his fist, nothing synthetic for this kid, he is not interested in a pacifier at all.
  • He rolled over already! A week or so ago we were at my sisters and I was telling her how he is throwing his legs over to start to roll and all of sudden he did it and went all the way over, we were both in shock! He has two big brothers to keep up with he is getting ready.
  • And he loves his big brothers, stares at them all the time. They still annoy him when they are too loud and he lets them know it but for the most part they are a good source of entertainment for Jonah...and Harry and I

Jonah Harrison - 2 Months Big

Here are just a couple thing about Jonah at two months...

  • he is a great baby, yes I know it sounds really general but he truly is such a great little guy, I have said since day one that he "does" everything a baby is suppose to, perhaps many new parents get overwhelmed with the sleepless nights, growth spurts, constant diaper changing and the "colic" phase in the evenings but babies can't help that.
  • he coos, and smiles at any face smiling and cooing at him
  • he likes baths now, doesn't like getting out...too cold.
  • still eats like every 3 hours...no he is not on solids yet Godfather....
  • growing, growing, growing 11lbs 4oz....(I think the twins reach 11 lbs by the time they were 5 months)
  • we already need to purge all his newborn clothing
  • his hair is still red :)
  • he loves to snuggle, if you have a free shoulder I'm sure he would love to occupy the spot
  • finally starting to watch Isaac and Logan running around but gets a little annoyed when they get too loud driving their cars and trucks on the tile floor
  • his head still smells like the Baptismal Chrism oil...finally figured out that oil got on his car seat after Baptism, so every time he takes a ride; he gets out smelling like a new Christian!
  • he loves to wave his arms about you can see on the video coming up
